FIRST LOOK: 2025 Corvette ZR1 – 1064hp, Turbos & 215mph!
Wow, the new Corvette ZR1 is quite something. For a start, one thousand and sixty-four horsepower is nothing short of A LOT. In fact, it’s nearly 400 more than the Corvette Z06, and higher than the likes of the Ferrari SF90 XX, let alone hybrid-assisted hypercars such as the McLaren P1, LaFerrari and Porsche 918. And yet, all that power comes from a solitary 5.5-litre, twin-turbocharged V8, with not a jot of a hybrid system in sight. Ferrari 458 Speciale v Audi RS7 Performance: DRAG RACE

Let’s see how the two compare. Starting with the Ferrari, it’s powered by a 4.5-litre naturally-aspirated V8 that can produce 605hp and 540Nm of torque. This power is sent to the rear wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox, and it weighs around 1,395kg. As new in 2015, this car would have set you back around £208,000. As for the RS7, it’s powered by a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 that can produce 630hp and 850Nm. This power is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic gearbox, and the car weighs in at 2,065kg. It’s a fair bit cheaper than the Ferrari, costing around £133,000. Think it may be an easy win for the RS7?
